Hey everyone! Thanks for checking out my blog here at Today.com!
I’m a recent college graduate and avid surfer who has been ardently exploring the Orange County coastline since I first convinced my mom to give me a ride to the beach at a young age. Now, after all these years, I am still finding out great new things about our beaches, and as always, I am still eager to share the results of my findings with anyone who will listen! As your guide to the beautiful beaches of the land known as “The OC,” I vow to leave no beach un-combed, no shell unturned, and no wave unridden in my pursuit to provide you with the best and latest local news and insider tips!
Oh, and by the way, I’m not really Rick Kane. The name is an homage to the cult 80’s surf flick, North Shore, and its kooky, always amiable protagonist. With great waves, classic characters (look out for a young Laird Hamilton as surf-goon Lance Burkhart), and plenty of cheesy one-liners, North Shore is a great film for surfers and non-surfers alike!
